I felt amazing afterwards and it wasn’t too awkward - the therapist didn’t try and make me engage in small talk throughout the treatment which I find stressful.

Our Sports Recovery Sessions run through a circuit of our recovery equipment, and are specifically designed to get your muscles back in tip-top shape so you can recover from strenuous activity faster.

You start in the ice bath (around 9 degrees) and stay for 3 minutes, then jump in the hot bath (38 degrees) for another 3 minutes, and repeat that 3 times for a good hot/cold contrast.

Vanessa Ice Bath

The general theory behind using ice baths as cold therapy is that the exposure to cold helps to combat the micro-trauma (small tears) in muscle fibers and resultant soreness caused by intense or repetitive exercise. The ice bath is thought to constrict blood vessels, flush waste products and reduce swelling and tissue breakdown.

Far Infra-Red Sauna

Detoxification: Sweating is the body’s safe and natural way to heal & stay healthy. Far infrared sauna benefits the body by heating it directly causing a rise in core temperature resulting in a deep, detoxifying sweat at the cellular level, where toxins reside.

Relaxation: Unlike traditional saunas which operate at extremely harsh temperatures, infrared is a gentle, soothing and therapeutic heat that promotes relaxation and improved sleep. Infrared sauna benefits include therapy that helps you relax while receiving an invigorating deep tissue sweat, leaving you fully refreshed after each session.

Sequential intermittent pneumatic compression like the RecoveryPump increases venous return, rapidly accelerating the body’s reabsorption of the elements causing soreness and fatigue in the muscle.  Specific levels of compression measured in mmHg, increase circulation at all levels of the venous system, Deep Veins, Saphenous veins, Superficial and Perforator veins, effectively removing metabolic waste faster than any traditional mode of recovery or rest alone.

Frequently asked questions

We recommend booking either Myotherapy or Remedial Massage, then discussing your symptoms directly with the therapist. All our practitioners are trained in soft and deep tissue massage, sports massage, cupping, and most are certified in dry needling. These techniques can be selected during your session, depending on what’s most suitable.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage is ideal for detoxing, immune support, deep relaxation, and stress relief. It’s also highly recommended before and after surgeries—including dental procedures or body-shaping operations. Preparing your body with lymphatic drainage may help reduce inflammation and promote faster recovery.

We regularly treat young athletes and active children, especially those involved in competitive sports. Ongoing massage therapy supports injury prevention and speeds up recovery. We simply ask that a parent or guardian be present during sessions for any minor.

You’re not alone—this is a common concern. Our therapists are trained to assess and treat general muscular discomfort. Please speak to your therapist during your session and we’ll do our best to ease your pain.

Yes. We often recommend Manual Lymphatic Drainage as a starting point for those experiencing poor sleep. While chronic discomfort may not improve overnight, regular treatment can help your nervous system reset and support gradual, steady recovery.

Bowen Therapy was developed in Victoria and is recognised internationally. It’s a gentle, non-invasive method using rolling-type movements over muscles, tendons, and fascia, followed by rest periods that allow the body to respond. It is commonly used for pain relief, mobility improvement, and deep relaxation. While we offer it at Fluid Health, availability is limited to select practitioners.

Cupping therapy uses suction to increase circulation, reduce muscle tightness, and help relieve tension. The sensation may feel unusual or intense, and circular marks may remain for several days. Despite the visual effects, it’s a trusted method—even used by the Australian Olympic swimming team.

Yes, Pregnancy Massage is safe throughout all stages of pregnancy. It helps reduce back and pelvic discomfort, improve circulation, and promote relaxation. Our therapists are trained in proper techniques for prenatal care.

Absolutely. We offer Sports Massage, contrast baths, Far Infrared Sauna, and compression boot sessions to help athletes recover quickly, reduce soreness, and stay at peak performance.

Yes. Most of our services fall under extras cover in your private health policy. We also have HICAPS facilities onsite, so you can claim instantly after your session.
