Recovery is probably the most underutilized component of training, yet it can have the greatest effect on whether or not an athlete reaches their goals pain and injury free. We can provide state-of-the-art equipment, normally only available to sporting clubs and top-level athletes, right to the general public.
Sports Recovery Sessions
Our Sports Recovery Sessions run through a circuit of our recovery equipment, and are specifically designed to get your muscles back in tip-top shape so you can recover from strenuous activity faster. You start in the ice bath (around 9 degrees) and stay for 3 minutes, then jump in the hot bath (38 degrees) for another 3 minutes, and repeat that 3 times for a good hot/cold contrast.
After the baths, you step into the far infrared sauna for 20-30 minutes. Then, you get dry and changed, and finish off lying back on the lounge with the Recovery Pump boots for half an hour. You should be feeling fresh as a daisy afterwards.
The sessions run for an hour and a half, and include the use of active recovery equipment if you wish to roll out on the floor with our rollers, or get into those sore spots with a trigger point ball before you jump into the ice bath.

Bring a towel, your bathers and a water bottle with you.
Recovery sessions run every day, and finish at 8pm on some weeknights, and 5pm on weekends.

The Sports Recovery Centre is open and bookings are available, but due to COVID-19 safety plans, we’ve had to make a few changes to how the sessions run.
Please choose your booking time carefully, and aim to arrive ten minutes early so you can start your session on time. If you arrive late, this will cut into your session time.
The sessions are arranged so that you will do the ice/contrast baths FIRST, then the far infrared sauna, and finally the recovery pump boots. We allow 30 minutes in each. If you are only wishing to use ONE of these, please call us so we can schedule you in correctly.
Only one person at a time is permitted through the baths and sauna, unless the other person is living at the same address as you, or is your intimate partner.
Please bring your own towels for the session. NO TOWEL, NO SESSION.
Finally, if you have ANY symptoms of COVID-19 (cold/flu symptoms, shortness of breath or loss of smell and taste), please contact us so we can reschedule your session.
Pre-Event Prep Sessions
We run pre-event sessions on request, these sessions are designed to get your muscles in optimum shape for whatever sports event you have coming up. You may have just played the semis and need to get your body ready for the finals, or you might be running a marathon the next day. We can accomodate up to 8 people at a time for our 90 minute sessions, so we can look after your whole team, or half over two sessions.
